Thread: Shell Theory

I don't know if it goes here, so please move it if needed.

This is a theory that is held by many and few. The theory is this, and this is much more simplified than it should be so pardon me for that.

The creation of Earth was one of the newest processes of the greater universe. Before the Earth there were and still are many planes of existence in which beings that we consider to be astral exist. This theory states that some of these beings by choice or otherwise were placed in human shells. Everything about them physically is human, but astrally they are what they have always been. With a strong enough astral force, these people may retain some of their abilities in their human shells.

The theory goes on to say that the majority of these types of people begin with a curiosity or some sort of strange incident around the age of 14. It could be a bit older or younger, but generally it is right around that time that small things begin to change for them. These small changes lead them to eventually discover what they are. These people, if they can reclaim their past lives' memories, will find that they are reincarnated more often than normal people or have lived for much longer in these past lives than others.

The theory finalizes on the point that these people are more drawn to the supernatural or paranormal phenomena of this world, and those phenomena are more drawn to them.

Again, there's probably a much better documented source of this, or maybe it's just something discussed in groups like this. I read it somewhere before, but it was called something different. Either way, what do you guys think of it?

Sounds like a parallel to the Gnostic view of the universe's creation. Particularly, the Apocryphon of John.

It's also very like how the Tree of Life shows the universe. You have this outer-everything that gets more and more earth-bound (with earth near the bottom). Since both groups go with the "we are or are made of God", there's a drive to get back up (or out of the shell) to the pinical of existance (by ascending, transcending, awakening, etc).

When I was very young, (3?) perhapse remembering a prenatal memory, I had a "dream" where I lived in a spiritual world of darkness and oblivion, came accross some "explorers", and destroyed them. Perhapse this is how I "fell" to earth.

I was thinking that as well. The only non-parallel part to the gnostic view is that these are not being suppressed by an upper being. I mean I guess, theoretically they could be on a personal level, but not in the way the gnostics view it. I recently researched gnosticism to understand it, and found a lot of similarities myself, so I'm glad that you brought that up.

I have memories of being something that I am not. These memories seem to not even be that long ago (On the whole scale of things that is.). It's hard to explain, but the memories of that being are clear, and rather violent. I looked human, but I had wings and my muscles structure was a little different. That part is the hardest to describe. My astral body, even today, still retains those wings. Of course, it doesn't help in the physical world, but it's just something that I've always been intrigued by since the memories started.

I just got through watching Constantine. Good movie. Winged people are actually much older than "angels" and the Bible. Actually, the biblical angels didn't even look like winged people. My current depiction of angels in their truest form is transparent spheres crossed by lines or rays that intersect in the center. Anyway, that is cool that you have wings. Maybe you can use those wings to create interesting effects on the astral plane. Since you look like an angel on the astral, maybe you should practice lines like "you are not worthy," "god doesn't love you," and "go to the light...."

As corny as that is, it would be hilarious, and I've met some pretty corny beings on the astral plane, so it would be right up the right alley. Though to be honest, I'm not much of god person, so as unfortunate as it is, the lines won't work for me. Maybe I'll use one like: "Destiny tells me that it is your time to die."

I couldn't have said it better myself. Or just perhapse "join me."
