Thread: Spirit guides!!

I know a few people with some spirit guides. They have proven so helpful, not only this, but many of the world's top psychics/mystics/magickians/occultists have them.

I don't have spirit guides. I've met dozens of spirits, but they either can't be bothered, never show up again, or are not really active or communicative (some are even kind of annoying). How did you guys find your spirit guides!?!

If you could,

1. Do you have spirit guides?

1a. If so, how long have they been guiding you?

1b. How did you find them?

1c. No spirit guide? Why not?

2. Do you have a guardian angel or an angel guide instead?

2a. How do you know it is an angel and not a normal spirit?

2b. Do you have both angel guides and spirit guides? Please tell me all about them!

3. What are your suggestions for finding spirit guides?

Anything else you want to add is welcome! I would like a spirit guide one day!

i have yet to learn who/what mine are.

I will take advice from many spirits, but the closest thing to my guide is my shadow.

I have one spiritual guide, they have been guiding me all my life but I wasn't aware of them until I started looking into spirtualism more, around the age of 12-13.

I guess the first time I knew about them, I was walking home from school and in my minds eye I saw a large person walking behind me and felt them there so I turned to look and there was no one. Next thing I saw in my minds eye was the same person walking beside me and then slowly faded away. When I meditated a few days after that, I asked to discover more about the spirit, I started my meditation in my "safe place" (an image in your mind of a place that you feel most safe and secure in, a cave / forest / your own house) and the spirit was already there, I wasn't scared, I felt a sence of security and warmth from them. I asked questions and they announced that they were my spiritual guide. There was no doubt in my mind that made me believe other wise.

To this day they are still around, as they always will be until the day I pass. I believe everyone has at least one spiritual guide no matter if they know about them or not. I don't see them most of the time nor do I need them a lot of the time. But there have been events in my life, like a near fatal car crash where all I broke was the nail on my little finger, that only reassures me that they are keeping an eye out for me.

I'd definately suggest a meditation to meet your spiritual guide. Before your meditation just ask to meet them and they will show. That is if you meditate.

Sure.

Setting and physical position........
-Softly lit room,
-Some soft drumming music playing (or anything that suits you that has no singing / vocals)
-Sitting up right, legs crossed with a pillow behind you back against a wall for support and comfort.
-Hands resting on the knees.

Starting the meditation.......
- Close your eyes and focus attention on your breathing.
- While doing this also mentally state what the intentions of the meditation are ie... to meet your spiritual guide, state something like "I believe now is the time I'd like to have my spirtiual guide or guides show themselves to me, please show yourself or selves within this meditation now"
- For myself I just said something along the lines of "please show me who what that spirit and what the spirit wanted from me"
- Next focus on your "safe place", where you start your meditations, like a cave or a clearing in a forest, a house...

Let it flow from there, you can not really force this type of meditation. With mine when I got to my 'safe place' my guide was already there waiting and we started talking.

Myself ive never had any knowing interaction with a spirit guide, however ive never done anything to "meet" mine, as she devil put it.

Although having said that, at times ive had the odd compulsion to go to a clairvoyant/medium to let "whatever is closest to me talk to me" however ive never followed through as its hard to know who has had proper education & training these days, and i like to avoid charlatans.

I would make contact myself, but as yet, ive not found any reliable texts on this particular subject, nor have i come across this information in my current studies, although im sure with the amount of books i have its in there somewhere, but with the perfectionist meticulous way i study it will be some time before i reach those "chapters" shall we say.

None of this seems to be working. I thought I communicated with my deceased brother during meditation where I asked to speak to a guide, but I'm not sure, and I didn't get any clear voice or mind's eye communication.

I really wish someone in my area dealt with spirits and could just introduce me lol! That would be great!!

I think this is true for many occult/psychic/mystic/whatever gifts. I have tried to teach people to read aura and other perceptual/instinct based things I can innately do and I have not been able to really get anywhere. Do you really think having spirit guides is the same? People who have them usually believe "all of us have spirit guides" and crap. I see spirits all the time, but no guides. Am I gypped?

I think a lot of this can be bridged with magic[k]al training as many people on forums like this would attest to. I'm really wanting spirit guides, though. I feel like it would be nice to have allies in the astral or if I were communicating flipside. I also would value getting advice or help on occasion. Wonder what they get out of it? If there's some sort of way to coax them out of the woodwork or if I have to like, commission them in some way lol.

I tried doing it today, i couldnt manage to fully put myself into the meditation world, but i did manage to get feelings. I just want my guide to show themselves to me, so i know that theyre there. To help me with whatever my bodys wanting to do, that normal people cant help me with,

My spirit guide is called Serge. At first I thought he was a demon, but he isn't. The only problem is he doesn't say much...and I don't know how to get him to talk.
